Vermont loses recruit Anthony DeLuca to the Q

Anthony DeLuca, who was previously committed to Vermont for either 2013 or 2014, has lost his eligibility after signing with the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Rimouski drafted him with their second-round pick last week.
DeLuca played with the Lac Saint-Louis Lions of the QMAAA last season, scoring 80 points (48 goals, 32 assists) in 43 games. He also suited up for Quebec U17 team at the WHC-17.
Last week, he skated with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders (USHL), the team he was originally slated to play for next season in preparation for his arrive at UVM.
