Pairwise impact of Merrimack-BC
- Updated: February 24, 2013
Typically this is not something I’d even throw out there before a game due to the high volume of games normally scheduled on a Friday or Saturday night. But, with a Sunday game and just one other game being played (Penn State vs. Wisconsin) we get a clearer picture of the Pairwise impact this particular game holds.
Heading into this afternoon’s contest, Merrimack is 19th in the PWR and Boston College is 5th. The following will happen pending today’s result (this does not include a result inputted for the PSU-Wisconsin game).
A Merrimack win: The Warriors would climb to 13th in the PWR while the Eagles would drop to 8th.
A Boston College win: Bumps BC up one spot to 4th while Merrimack would plummet to 24th.
A tie: Merrimack would stand still at 19th while the Eagles would drop two spots to 7th.
So, this game could result in an 11-spot swing for the Warriors in the PWR when comparing a win and a loss.
