’93 Mathieu Tibbet Commits to Merrimack College

Mathieu Tibbet

Merrimack College has received a commitment from ’93-born forward Mathieu Tibbet of the Chilliwack Chiefs in the British Columbia Hockey League.

Tibbet, who is originally from Delaware, is the former teammate of fellow Merrimack recruit Austin Plevy, who was dealt to the Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League earlier this season.

In 51 games this season, the 6-fooot-2, 194-pound Tibbet has totaled 41 points (22 goals, 19 assists), which is second best on the team; his 22 goals is first on the club and ranked 19th in the BCHL.

This season is Tibbet’s third in the BCHL, where he is also serving as Chilliwack’s alternate captain.
